This website is called Conscious Evolution Today. It could equally be called Consciousness Education Now: the two ideas being, to me inextricably linked, conveying the same ideas. As an introduction to the Consciousness Education project, I would like to share some of those themes now.

To be conscious, consciousness: the very awareness that we are aware, intricately immersed in the essence of life itself, which we might call Cosmic Consciousness. A state of being, beyond words, beyond concepts. A mental state that’s distinct from the very specific human consciousness that we might describe as rational consciousness; our ability to reason things out, or logically deduce things. We are talking about a consciousness that equates to a state of flow, of being present, in the moment, in the zone.

Now, Today: that same present moment. The eternal now that embraces all past and all possible futures. As distinct from ‘clock time’ and all the planning and expectations that go with it. Now, today, and our engagement with it: not dwelling on the past nor trying to control the future but immersed in life as it is currently presenting itself to us.

Evolution, education: growth, development … not as a predetermined, rationally set goal, but as a natural, emergent, ongoing, process. Education, either formal or informal, explicit or implicit that helps us to learn, to grow, as individual human beings, finding and fulfilling our unique potential. And as we each learn and grow so we, as a species, evolve into a more conscious, aware, connected, integral part of life on planet Earth (and beyond).

Put these three ideas together and you have the essence of Consciousness Education and of Conscious Evolution. Compare this with what currently passes as ‘consciousness’ within humanity and what currently constitutes ‘education’ and you’ll see just what a task we have ahead of us!

But there is hope! As you’ll hear in our upcoming webinar, and as you’ll find if you look, not too hard, beneath the surface, there are numerous signs of individuals, in many roles around the globe, realising that we need to reconnect to our inner self and to focus on consciously evolving:
